Mandatory Prerequisites

There are no Mandatory Prerequisites for setting up Reporting Groups.

Type: this is a drop down list of Entity types to enter the Reporting Groups for.

 

Primary table: this displays entries for the Primary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Primary: this is the identifier for the Primary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Primary - Name: this is the descriptive name for the Primary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Secondary table: this displays entries for the Secondary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Secondary: this is the identifier for the Secondary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Secondary - Name: this is the descriptive name for the Secondary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Tertiary table: this displays entries for the Tertiary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Tertiary: this is the identifier for the Tertiary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Tertiary - Name: this is the descriptive name for the Tertiary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Quaternary table: this displays entries for the Quaternary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Quaternary: this is the identifier for the Quaternary level of the Reporting Groups.

 

Quaternary - Name: this is the descriptive name for the Quaternary level of the Reporting Groups.

How Do I : Add new Reporting Groups

  1. From the Type drop down list, select an Entity type.
  2. At the Primary field, enter a new Primary level Reporting Group ID.
  3. At the Primary - Name field, enter a description for the Primary level Reporting Group.
  4. Click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add.
  5. Repeat these steps to enter further Primary level Reporting Groups.
  6. If Secondary level Reporting Groups need to be entered, click the Primary level Reporting Group in the Primary table to add them to.
  7. At the Secondary field, enter a new Secondary level Reporting Group ID.
  8. At the Secondary - Name field, enter a description for the Secondary level Reporting Group.
  9. Click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add.
  10. Repeat these steps to enter further Secondary level Reporting Groups.
  11. If Tertiary level Reporting Groups need to be entered, click the Secondary level Reporting Group in the Secondary table to add them to.
  12. At the Tertiary field, enter a new Tertiary level Reporting Group ID.
  13. At the Tertiary - Name field, enter a description for the Tertiary level Reporting Group.
  14. Click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add.
  15. Repeat these steps to enter further Tertiary level Reporting Groups.
  16. If Quaternary level Reporting Groups need to be entered, click the Tertiary level Reporting Group in the Tertiary table to add them to.
  17. At the Quaternary field, enter a new Quaternary level Reporting Group ID.
  18. At the Quaternary - Name field, enter a description for the Quaternary level Reporting Group.
  19. Click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add.
  20. Repeat these steps to enter further Quaternary level Reporting Groups.
  21. Click the Left Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add

How Do I : Modify existing Reporting Groups

  1. From the Type drop down list, select an Entity type.
  2. Reporting Groups will display in the Primary table.
  3. To display Secondary level Reporting Groups in the Secondary table, click the Primary level Reporting Group in the Primary table.
  4. To display Tertiary level Reporting Groups in the Tertiary table, click the Secondary level Reporting Group in the Secondary table.
  5. To display Quaternary level Reporting Groups in the Quaternary table, click the Tertiary level Reporting Group in the Tertiary table.
  6. For the maintenance of the Reporting Groups items, the user has the following options:
    1. Add a new Reporting Groups item for any of the levels, by entering a new ID and Name under the appropriate table then click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Add.
    2. Change an existing Reporting Groups item for any of the levels, by double clicking on the item in the appropriate table, changing its Name then click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Change.
    3. Delete an existing Reporting Groups item for any of the levels, by double clicking on the item in the appropriate table, then click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Delete.
    4. If any of the Reporting Groups item entry fields need to be cleared, click the Right Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Wipe.
  7. Click the Left Hand Side Application tool-bar push button: Change and confirm that you wish to change the Reporting Groups.

Because Reporting Groups are structured in a hierarchy, when you delete an item at a particular level all the items at levels below are also deleted.
